The South Central region has 68 tribes with diverse histories, cultures and governmental structures. From the beginning, the South Central Climate Adaptation Science Center has made it a priority to focus on working with tribes and have done so through climate trainings and workshops, providing cultural resources, and assisting with tribal vulnerability assessments.
